This place has a talented chef, the food was very good, we had an evening meal and breakfast.

Friendly, great food, nice outdoor area
Rooms were a bit run down especially the bathroom, the tea and coffee were sparse only three tea bags, asked for more but had to asks twice same with loo roll half a a small roll, No glasses only big work mugs

Pub was Closed and no phone call to say so. We travelled 3 hours to met by a pub full of dirty plates and glasses on the tables. Checked in had to travel 20 minutes for food. Bed very uncomfortable Breakfast poor. Stay at the Beaumont in Hexham next time.

The location was lovely. The food at this pub is exceptional, some of the best we have had. The room was a very good size. The bed was lovely and comfortable.
The room was a little tired. Paintwork needed some attention. There was a terrible knocking from the water pipes when other people were using hot water.
